From what I've heard, Jim Mero is a former race driver and as competent driver as he can be.
From http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...icleId=128071: "The Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires have been developed for production, although they did carry a relatively soft tread-wear rating of 220". These "220 tires" what kind of tires are those? Are they for all practical matters slicks for the street? Will the ZR-1 be sold with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 /220 or will something less sticky? Remember there was an M3 that has lap time of +- 7'20 mostly thanks to the tires. Given the weight to power ratio of the ZR-1, 7'26 is actually slow. |

Gotta give it dues........... it looks quick.
Don't believe that on a daily basis any rear wheel drive car is as easy to drive as an all wheel drive car, especially in the wet, but hey, it's done a bloody fast time... Wonder how it compares price wise to the GTR ? |

I personally have no idea why people care about this so much.
They are two different cars driven by two different drivers in different conditions along with all the other variables. Its just a time. Both cars are cool but i'd never buy a Corvette. |
