Do you have a support bracket between the downpipe/front pipe and gearbox and do you have a flexible joint in the front pipe ?

x2 its good to have a flex joint somewhere near the downpipe. alot of the heavier turbos i would use bend some aluminum and bolt it to the compressor housing or i would drill one of the bolts and tie it with safety wire to head similar to the way brake rotor hats use safety wire.

no. use a brace to take the weight of it. even HKS/Trust/Blitz manifold crack like crap all the time if not braced.
hell, even the GrpA GTRs had braces to take the weight on STOCK manifolds. but still 99% of people dont. bracing it isnt foolpoof solution, but helps more than anything else you can do. so such off the shelf thing for a GTR though, all the ones ive seen have been custom, tho its simple enough. |
