Didn't ZR-1 hit a guardrail trying to beat GT-R's time?

Well that's ruined Nissan's U.K. advertising with the GTR then......

Are these actually being made in RHD?

Amazing time and well done to Corvette, Its amazing how fast these cars are compared to other supposed "hyper cars".

If the only reason you bought a GTR is to tell your mates that it's the fastest production car on the Ring (keeping in mind delivery time of a year) you are naive at best. The cars the GTR get compared with are becoming unreal. The in very limited amounts an probably very expensive ZR1 included.

Maybe not considering....

1. It'll only be LHD
2. It's likely to cost £100,000 in the UK
3. Limited production of 3000

And it's Amercian so it'll lose plenty of trim pieces as time goes by!

£40,000 extra is a lot of money for 3 seconds

111mph versus 131mph = a lifetime in the real world.

A far more complaint ride in the ZR1 is another advantage of using the more advanced MagneRide suspension, this should be very noticeable during everyday driving. The Nissan GTR is already very harsh on everyday roads, imagine the stiffer riding V-spec, it would be close to unlivable.

The extra weight of the supercharger--I wonder whether the new Vette or old is the better car to drive.

all that extra money and the best you can think of is "more compliant ride"? btw, i already drive a GT-R on the road everyday and don't seem to find the ride harsh. 3 secs faster for 40k more is not impressive. and i have 4 seats too...

edit: i just reread your post... 111mph vs 131mph... are you being serious? you show me the road where that kind of top end matters... maybe 3 roads in the whole world? lets see a stelvio pass time for the ZR1...

Many people want to use and have fun with their pride and joy everyday. It's always better to have a complaint ride which doesnt rearrange back everytime you get in.

If you dont track your car or take it to the strip then whats the point in getting a fast car? 111mph is easily achievable.

The 111 mph quote he is refering to is the California blend funk juice that's causing the GT-R's engine to pull back in safe mode.

To tokyo GT-R, what's the highest AKI/RON/MON available in your city?

The funny thing on the vettes is,just the cars driven by pro drivers or journalists can go fast around a racetrack,in the real life they are allways way down their laptimes

So i dont care about the vette having a supercharger fitted or whatever, looks nice, but im sure it is undriveable as a daily driven sportscar

Z06 is bad enough on normal roads

What I want to see is what the V-spec will do!

Get a move on Nissan!
