Enjine oil capacity? Self maintenance

My JDM GTR is a grey import and as such you might've guessed that there's no official dealer nor HPC here.

I am soon to hit 1000km on the odo and would like to change the enjine oil Mobil 1 0w40 soon. Could anyone let me know exactly how many litres of oil is needed for this car? Pls be very sure when you confirm this and I don't want to flood nor drought my car from enjine oil. It has to be exactly as Nissan intended.

Thanks for all the advance help!

Tokyogtr: Tony I also recall you saying for your first enjine oil change, the HPC did not change your oil filter and that they only change the Mobil 1? Is this correct? Otherwise I would have to source for an original GTR filter very soon. Thanks guys!

The Perfect GTR book says 4.7 litres. I think it was closer to 6. Had some extra from 2x4 litres.

Actually I think they did change the filter.

Thanks for the input guys.

Alright I'll flip through KK's english manual again and look for the exact amount.

So first service is 2000km? Does that mean I can redline the car only after 2000km 1st service? Or can I start redlining it around 1000 to 1500km?

So far I've not passed 4500rpm yet. At around 750km now.

i started to redline mine at 1100kms. in fact i had just finished the breakin of 1000kms before my fuji speedway trackday. it went straight in for 1st service after that.

Very nice Tony.

In that case I'll just redline it at 1000km then. And go in for 1st service around 1500km. Sounds about good to me.

if i'm not mistaken...we're supposed to wait until after the early oil change before we can safely hit the redline

Hey guys,

Side track a little... any one care to share on the transmission oil R35 special? I'd assume this can be safely replaced by third party synthetic transmission fluid?

Thank you.
