Dead clutch!
Well yesterday my clutch on my R32 decided to give up the ghost!
So have found a SPEC stage 2 clutch suitable... But my question is...how difficult is a clutch change on a R32 GTR?? i.e. anyone done one themselves, if so any probs and how long? Luckily I have access to a ramp etc Also is it worth upgrading to a lightened fly wheel at the same time? Cheers John |

Should be a raisonable job to do, just take the box off and while you're at it get the fly off and get it milled, way cheaper then an off the shelf one and with a decent machining shop I should take no more then half a day to get it done.
Don't know how long it would take to get the clutch sorted though, depends on the circumstances and tools etc. |

wont take long if you have a ramp, just need big long extension to get to the top gearbox bolts, rather straight forward. took me a couple of half arsed days to do but that was just on axle stands! with the help of a mate aswel.
the box is quite a bit heavier than an rb25 box so be carefull! also a clutch alignment tool will come in handy, get from machine mart or tool trade, just make sure you get the proper metal/alloy one not the plastic crap! |

I did mine, with a mechanic mate. Took seven hours start to finish including getting the flywheel skimmed. Not too bad a job so long as you have the right tools.
