Wow, that's an impressive rig. Also help to visualise the sort of forces acting on the engine too, i.e. what causes oil starvation etc.

seeing as that engine is dry sump, I'll bet an RB26 would last about ten seconds in that thing before spinning all its bearings Even if not, if you ever wondered what kinds of nightmares your Skyline might have while its asleep in your garage, that machine would be high on the list!

Now THAT is the reason im looking at 911's

Must admit that their attention to detail is extraordinary. Just a shame they missed the boat with the huge amount of RMS (Rear Main Seal) failures on 996 engines.

Bloody sh*te, how many G's does that car pull??? Nice extensive test there. Though as stated before, I don't think an rb would servive that

It was a test with premeasured g-forces from the nurburgring with one of their current cars. But i don't think they can create enough force, as it will only go up to 1g (obviously) while a porsche can hang on to more than that.

that explains to overdramatic movements. But I think that machine, by suddenly reversing direction, can generate momentary forces of greater than 1G.
