My GT-R transmission blew!!!

Or at least I think it will if the people who took the time to make a guess for the sweepstake don't put their hands in their pockets for the little kiddies...

Top Gear Laptime Sweepstake

Come on folks, surely we're better than this and can show those porsche drivers that not only do we think the R35 is better, but we're willing to donate money to charity to prove it....

Top Gear Laptime Sweepstake

We could even send the info to the Top Gear team to get some more exposure....

Top Gear Laptime Sweepstake

Sorry about the subject header, but how else can we get people to cough up?

TBH i dont think the lap times are actually real....if it was then it would be the only real part of the programme

my friend gassed up an old jag on there and allthough the strip times were real he was told from the start that if he couldnt beat them they would make it happen...

As such a great idea Tokyo GTR. Then again I think or hope that most of us are donating to charity already. Giving 30 pct of 5 GBP is hardly worth it for me to walk down, get my credit card ond take part. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great initiative but still no reason to judge people to take part or not.

agreed with judging, nobody really has a right to judge because there could be so many reasons but i'm guessing (and the reason i'm glad to be taking part now) is that the whole GTROC community does their bit and not just us as individuals, at least that's the way i think it is

anyways i'm assuming from your post you donate to charity as well as others and no one can ever fault someone for that

everyones little bit for GTROC helps makes GTROC's big bit for everyone

I hope anybody who can spend that much on a car will at least give now and then to charity. By the way, the subject chosen by Tokygtr is brilliant! And since I still like the initiative I took part in the sweepstake too.

As a small but not entirely off topic: In The Netherlands every July there is organized a nice day out for children with cancer. They are picked up from a hospital in Rotterdam and driven to Zandvoort track where they are taken around the track by all sorts of super cars etc. Via my boss I'm invited to take part next year with my GTR so I hope deliveries will not be delayed. They are picked up from the hospital also by the carowner. If my car is there in time I will hopefully take part and post some pics/stories next year.

always nice to hear someone doing something for a good cause, cancer is not a very nice thing at all, i hope you get your delivery sooner especially for that reason!

look forward to the pics/stories and given me some inspiration too
