VMAX June 2008 on Vimeo Could be interesting to se how tuned R32, -33 and -34's performed against these cars. |

More like, apart from nobody really knowing about it, youd be hard pushed to find a Nissan/Toyota/Mazda/Mitsubishi these days that would be under the Brunters noise regs and capable of beating those speeds there.

I've attended a couple of vmax events at Brunters, just before they started getting strict on noise, don't think there is any chance of me getting back these days!

Its not that its not possible to have a quiet enough car, its just most people dont, as the off the shelf systems all seem to be restrictive, noisy, or the people run screamer pipes.
So you need a custom system. If you quiet enough to get on most tracks, say 100-105DB, you can usually be ok at Brunters, but most BIG power (ie 200mph+ in that space) cars are way louder, screamer pipes and pretty much unsilenced exhausts. Martin Hadlands Escort Cossie recently did over 200mph, and a few other Fords have hit well over 190 there and been below the noise regs, as they all track their cars too so make sure they got a decently quiet exhaust. |
