Few vids of a local Supra
Last month he went from stock twins, 264 cams, ~450+ rwhp to T-71, estimated 550+ on 93 RON at 19 lbs. Thus he's been running around Dallas killing anything that moves.
The guy he bought the turbo, manifold, etc., from made 791 rwhp with more fuel mods.About a week ago he gave me a ride after challenging a cocky E60 M5 owner, we put at least 5 car lengths on him from a roll, killed a turbo SC300 (2nd gen Soarer), two 600cc bikes and hung with a Hayabusa up to about 110 mph. That same night we lined up with a 2nd gen Viper coupe with intake and exhaust, and an R33 GT-R V-Spec, the GT-R broke 3rd and disappeared, I stopped watching the Viper after 6 car lengths and couldn't see him any more after 160 mph. Unfortuneatly, we didn't get that night on video as he'd left the camera at home. ![]() Ah well, on to the vids! First vid, T-71 installed and going for a test drive. Second vid, 3 Supras, T-71 vs NA-T T-61 (300 rwhp) vs BPU (~380 rwhp). Me in the white car first half, me in the camera car second half, so wieght def not an issue. ![]() Third vid, T-71 vs a 600cc bike. You can't see how badly the bike is losing but I'm behind them in my NA 155 BHP 200SX, and the Supra was pulling him like he was standing still. Also, frame of reference for how fast these 2 are, on that first pull, look to the right and you'll my S14 200SX at 65 mph and they passed me like I was in reverse. |

I have been under the constant impression that if I ever brought my GT-R home, I'd never be able to unleash it. But I've spent time in Texas...the empty roads are definitely there, and the cops are easy to evade?
I might have to consider Texas in that case.... |

and if my car and I ever made it to the DFW area, you can bet your ass I'd run - the RB26 may be down on power, but that's why I run 28~29lbs boost!
Freaking Supras. I'd insist on a standing start ![]() |

3 things about Ghetto Birds:
1. They're rare. I've seen them twice in 5 years. 2. They're slow. Most commercial helicopters can't top 130. 3. Run towards the airport. ATCs won't give clearance. Not that I've ever done any of these things of course. ![]() Last edited by kaneda; 7th July 2008 at 11:48 PM. |

yo man I'd like spank all y'all asses ur slow ridez wud be nuttin nex to my GTR yo, only way u run wit me if u put down benjamins or ur pinks.
that's if I weren't halfway around the world. and had my car running. and removed most of ability to speak english ![]() I wish there were a bigger JDM scene in Seoul, but it's all BMWs on dubs, and Italian machines with Tubi exhausts - an open-pipe F430 sounds like SHIT, trust me! A dental drill sounds more smooth and relaxing than the idiot that demuffled his Ferrari. <sigh> tuned cars, like TRULY tuned cars with extensive engine work, are rare birds around here. There's a growing number of turbocharged Hyundais, but they don't make that much power relatively - a blown V6 Tiburon completely done might make 400whp at the front wheels...can you say "torque steer"?? |

that wasn't a Busa, it was a 600. Any sport bike 600 and up will beat virtually any car off the line, but 600cc - you run out of power at 110-120mph. You're right about the Hayabusa though, nothing (carwise and (stock) bikes) can really outpull one over 150mph - all these videos of cars beating Busas, well, it's because it's one thing to drive 160mph in a car on a public road with bumps and traffic ruts, and a whole different ballpark to do 160mph on a bike. You can come off a MotoGP bike at that speed and live because you're on a track with gravel traps and you've 99% lowsided, but even with full riding gear, if you come off a bike at 160mph on a street, you've lost stability and you're tank-slapping, highsiding, you'll die and they'll be collecting your corpse in 3-4 pieces.

A busa will hit 110mph in second gear As for 600's it depends on the bike some stock 600's will run low tens they may not be pulling as hard over 120mph but they will be there a lot quicker and i would still expect them to be able to outpull 99% of street cars Some very slightly modified 600's with good riders can run strong 9's there is a dedicated championship for them YouTube - Ryan Schnitz 600SS |
