First GT-R delivered in the United States

12:00 midnight on July 7. Nissan corporate was there, as well as NISMO and Steve Millen. Lucky owner was Darrel Allison picking up a Black on Black premium package car. Nissan also had a film crew there to shoot some stuff for internal marketing. Here are the pics.

You wanna play, you gotta pay.

Gotta pay to play...and pay way on top of the MSRP...LOL Especially if he wants to be the first one. Eventually lots of these will be swooped up by second or subsequent owners with lots of savings.

Beautiful color, especially on day one. After that, it is nothing unless you put on some serious elbow grease every weekend if you want it to look the same. Not to mention it adds to the heat under the Cali summer sun.

Hey, at least he has gotten a free helmet. Better put it on, on the way home. I wonder if he gets to keep that Nissan car cover...

fook me, $70K is a bargain. Better than the $100K they will sell for when they hit showroom floors here in Seoul.

Lucky him... from the threads over at NAGTROC, the markup the dealers are asking for, he can probably flip it for a huge profit....

Alot of people are paying MSRP or not much above it, like $5,000 or so. Most people paying th ridiculous markups are probably in California and are retarded. It really depends where you live and what dealership you deal with.

Actually from some of the posts in this thread:

First delivery tonight - NAGTROC - The Nissan GT-R Owners Club

seems to indicate the guy paid about $20k over MSRP for his car...

Totaly agree! If you can't wait, then you gotta pay. You know that Cali car culture and Cali people not wanting to look cool quickly and not lose face. I know cause I grew up over there. It will be a very long while, but I have time to wait until the used ones are $20K under the MSRP LOL.
