Oil pressure
Glenn,
My R34 GTT has a similar issue. Recently was off the road for a couple of weeks, and suddenly my oil pressure readings are loads lower than they used to be. 4-5 bar at cold, 2-4 when driving around (light throttle to full open), but then when hot can drop to 1 bar. Ive just got a new oil pressure sender unit from Abbey and should be fitting this wkend - will let you know what happens. Ash |

UPDATE
Ok guys quick update.
Fitted the new sender unit and it seems to be working fine, pressure now reads three bar driving gently and between 4 and 5 when pressing on. only drops to just over 2 when under 2000 revs. Only bastard thing is that now it looks like my starter motor has packed up.... ![]() |

Oil Pressure Sender
I use Abbey to do my servicing etc so just phoned them and they sent me one next day. If i recall it was around £90 delivered give or take a few quid.
part number from FAST is 25070-30P01 for mine but then mine is an RB25 DET NEO from the R34 GTT not a GTR. I suspect however that they are identical. Which model is it for and which engine type - Ill look up the number? |
