Your opinion pls about this problems
Hello,
Yesterday evening the boost of a BNR33, of a my friend, dropped to "0" during a normal run. Both the MFD the blitz boost controller show this value "0" and now the car run without turbos power. No strange noise from turbo or engine, all temperature are ok. No blue smoke from exhaust. What do you thing? Could it be a turbo fault? Thks in advance Carlo |

when driving the car now can you look at the airflow meter voltages , can you see if these numbers are greatly different, this will tell us if the turbo,s are still being driven by the exhaust gases via the turbine wheels.

surely if an exhaust wheel came off you would hear and feel it??? I thought that would be pretty catastrophic.... and the other turbo should still make boost??
I would say a vacuum pipe has popped off a sensor or similar.... no?? |

yeah they other turbo will try to make boost but the charged air will take the easiest route which is back down the inlet to the non working turbo charger.
Even if it has a pipe off of the boost controller the car would still make base boost which according to the chap asking questions ot dives a sit make NO boost. |

Thks for replies. My friend tonight, or tommorow, will check the Afm values on commander, like Mark said. In every case really no noise from engine. I really hope that is not a turbo fault.
When the car dropped power (and "0" bost) i was in the car and i did not heard strange noise. Another info that i just received. In the car has been fitted a wideband. My friend said to me that after this trouble the engine is now a little rich. Before In idle the value were 14.5 now is 12.8/13.5 (not always costant value). If the solenoid is in fault, the turbos should go to std pressure (about 0,8 bar)? In this case, with solenoid out, the MFD can read this pressure (0,8bar )or it could show "0" like in this case?
