Hey,
61000 miles, I assume that is the mileage of the chassis. But what is the mileage of the engine (the R33 engine) ? Thanks Phil ![]()

It lost compression on cylinder no.6 and partially on no.4. Piston damage. I could have rebuilt but didn't want the car at the garage for weeks so went for a quick turn around with the advantage of the R33 oil pump drive being more robust along with newer turbos etc added in. It was a good decision, the new engine is sweet; the specialist that fitted it (MJ performance) noted that it had the best oil pressure they'd seen at the time! There are a few blemishes on the car as I mentioned in the opening post but it's overall a very sweet motor, and in the best colour ![]() |
