R32 GTR
1993 K plate Nissan Skyline GTR
![]() 61000miles Imported June 2007, owned by me since August 2007 R33 GTR re-con engine (complete with turbos) fitted by reputable Skyline specialist September 2007 at a cost of £3400 (receipt for work will available). The R33 engine is far stronger in the area of the oil pump drive, therefore removing a weak point in the R32 engine. The new engine drives fantastically and has really good oil pressure. ![]() The car is mechanically great and the whole car is clean, but there are areas where it isn't cosmetically perfect: The paintwork shows its age in some areas and the interior has signs of wear in places. The wheels have kerbing marks from the previous owner The plastic (removable) spat behind the NSR wheel has paint flaking The rear bumper has an impact mark of some sort (in picture) The drivers door handle has some scratching on it The boot spoiler looks like someone has polished through the paint (also easy to remove for repaint). The water temperature gauge in the car has recently stopped working ![]() ![]() These bits of cosmetic that need tidying are all things I was going to do in the coming months but I never get to drive the car, I use it as a 4th car and 4 cars is now becoming impractical! Other details: A new clutch was fitted at the same time as the new engine. V-Power fuel always used Always ran at standard boost on the new engine. Unknown large bore exhaust system (Japanese manufacturer) Apexi radiator Apexi intercooler Twin Blitz dump valves HKS air filters with new elements recently HKS remote oil filter location (a really great piece of kit that makes oil filter changes a doddle!) Engine oil cooler Tein Flex master suspension New standard brake discs and pads Momo Tuner steering wheel Greddy boost gauge on A-pillar Greddy gear knob Not tracked since reaching the UK Stereo headunit is not included in the sale MOT renewed this week, Taxed until end of August When I first got the car I cleaned the underside over a 2 days period (horrible job to clean the underside properly, not something I want to repeat soon!) and wax oil it thoroughly ![]() Picture with old brakes ![]() The car is a great stage one upgrade; it rides very well on the Tein kit and handles fantastically. ![]() ![]() ![]() I live near Birmingham airport. I'll try and answer any PM's ASAP £7000ono Last edited by Griff500; 11th July 2008 at 07:16 PM. |

Just wondering how come the R32 engine has been replaced with the R33? Considering the car only has 60k on the clock, sounds like there may have been something wrong with it, e.g. been thrashed a lot? so will this have affected other stuff, transmission etc?

I think you'll find many Skyline engines have been opened up at some point in their life to either modify or replace worn parts. R32's are around 15years old now and these cars are highly tuneable, as said; most will have been worked on at some point. An intelligent buyer will make his/her judgement on the testdrive evaluation/inspection (amongst other things), not the contents of the advert. |
