i run 650hp @ 1.3bar and i have 600cc injectors and a 280lh fuel pump aided by fpr.

i believe that i am running on the edge of the knife, but i rarely use 1.3, so i agree that a 280 pump would be better.

it would be advisable some 720cc injectors, fpr, and a fuel surge tank and twin pump setup.

Its nothing to do with how long it will last, its just not gong to be able to supply the amount of fuel you need to make big horsepower

Bosch 044 fuel pump, think what they're saying is 255 pump wont flow enough fuel and your engine will run lean and det.

Charlie.

Thanks i see now.. okay, so if i set it to 1.0bar boost and just tootle around not using the power, it will be okay until i get a "040" 330lph and surge tank dual pump set-up built in the boot?

BOSCH 044 600hp External EFI Fuel Pump - ModYourCar.com

1 of those be enough?
or 2? then what in the tank?
or 3 of the smaller ones, one in tank 2 external, ??? whats the best setup, thats least likley to break down.. i have FPR and HKS rail, feeds to both ends i *think* ..

Have you actually tried to help yourself ?

http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/se...archid=2211641

Do you walk into the library and just as the librarian for answers ?
Or do you look for books then read them ?
Just curious ....

600bhp at the fly wheel should be okay with a single Tomei 280l/h in tank pump.

You would want dual entry fuel rail and probably 680cc+ injectors.
720cc would be ideal.

But 600bhp is the edge of what a single fuel pump will provide. I am trying to go for a bit more and it looks like I will need to run 2 intake pump in order to supply the fuel.

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. is what i got when i clicked your link glenn..?

I like your whitynes
i don't use library's much, but yes i find it easier to ask the librarian for a book, as they usually know where they are being a librarian. or instead of going to a library (walking cuz ur skyline is broke), you can use an internet forum.. this usually has people that know these things and can tell you the answers straight away, so is usually better than looking through a book and is most definitely faster.
Of course i have tried to help myself. i just think the whole point in a forum is to get quick, honest answers without having to trawl through pages of ancient text. i apologise deeply if my lack of patience annoys you but im a child of the internet generation and after all, if my questions annoy you to a great extent, you could always choose not to participate in this thread

But thank you for your help nevertheless

Nocturnal : I have the dual entry rail set-up, and 680cc injectors. i was thinking of building over the requirements slightly.

i don't understand how u can have a small pump in the tank, and then a larger external one or 2.... how can the smaller one feed the 2 larger ones.. surely they'll empty the surge tank and the smaller pump cant fill it enough??

Thank you all

Because the small pump that is in the tank will not be pumping against any pressure, therefore they can pump at a much higher rate then what they are rated at. Took me a while to figure that one out too.

For what you need, I think 1 Tomei Intake Pump will do the job.
