Nissan GT-R High Performance Tour
I've received an e-mail from Nissan which reads as follows:
The new GT-R is coming to your Nissan High Performance Centre soon. Now that you’ve reserved your brand new supercar we want you and your guest to be amongst the first in Europe to see it live, so we’ve arranged an exclusive GT-R evening. As well as seeing the Nissan GT-R you can see displays of the advanced technology that’s gone into building the car such as the Bilstein® DampTronic suspension; specially developed GR6 transmission; Brembo braking system and Bridgestone run flat tyres - or just stand back and admire its aerodynamic body. One of our features looks at the development of the GT-R at the infamous Nürburgring racetrack in Germany, the circuit where GT-R has just recorded one of the fastest lap times ever for a production car - 7 minutes and 29 seconds - and beaten its own previous record by a staggering nine seconds in the process. Plenty of Nissan staff will be on hand to answer all your questions, so bring along your passion for performance driving - and we’ll provide the hospitality. I believe a silver car will be there. Looks like guests are allowed on this one, so I might pop along with the wife for a natter and a nibble I guess this goes some way towards not allowing the other half to attend the track day. Anyone else had one of these invites? |

I was under the impression that the European cars will not commence production until at least December and that therefore the high performance tour would still be Japanese or American cars...please correct me if I'm wrong though

So I'm now getting concerned - the Euro spec could be changed as late as November this year...
How will we know what we are getting if they leave it so late? I suppose it's only small details but it still can make a differance, no wonder they have delaid the no return deposit situation. Rich. |

the spec list will i'm sure be as advertised on the website at the time the order was placed...e.g. I ordered non sat nav but everyone who orders now gets satnav...we're only talking about small variations here such as extras that might be homologated to be offered on top of that spec.

yes but look at what we're getting for the money. I think a lot of the magazines had been predicting that basic price would start around £58k to £60k before prices were announced. Would've been nice to have parking sensors/camera as standard though...a lot of much cheaper cars do
