R35 track action

Just thought i share a clip from Alfcanda i found..

YouTube - Nissan GTR Sepang Lap Time 2m 31.6s

Kudos for bringing it to track and doing a impressive time of 2:31 on a stock car.

Nice find mate.. The guy isnt hanging around thats for sure. The GTR seems to respond much better to it being thrown around abit more doesnt it.

good to be able to throw the car into a hard one and it to be able to handle it (as well as the driver at the limit at least) love this car!

that was me ... the car is truly amazing and easy to handle. abit frisky under braking and it doenst like braking other than in a straight line ... will slip and slide a bit more.

the car at T7-T8 held me up abit and the passenger too .... i had a clear run later on w/o passenger and the car clocked 2m28.089s which is pretty impressive for a stock Car. I had stock hardware and the Cobb Stage 1 map on.

was running on the Dunlops at 29PSI.

Very very nice car i have to say. It's exactly as the reviews say. On tighter turns under power, it'll let you move the tail a little before sending power to the front. In long sweepers (T3) the car tends to push out abit and understeer but easy and safe to handle.

I was in R-R-R mode ... didnt try VDC Off :P

cheers guys,
alf

Im also curious if you have done any alignment to the car?

And how was the wear of the DL tyres?

The wear on the Dunlops was good. I did about 11 hot laps in all throughout the day and there's still about 40-50% thread left on the tires and about the same amount of PADs on the front brakes. Thread wear is even too ... was running 29PSI - 30PSI.

According to driftbox, my trap at T1 was 233kph (which shoudl show 238kph - 240kph on the speedo due to error) and on the back straight T15 it was 224kph driftbox trap (prob 228 - 232kph speedo).

i'll post up the speeds maps later ...

u went in with stock camber or u increase the camber?

Tyres left 40-50%? thats quite a lot of wear.. i guess the BS would be more durable as they get hot slower..

sorry ..i started it with about 75% worn already ... so it took off maybe 20 - 25% on that trackday? Can't be very sure la ....

went with stock camber. did zero to the car other than change oil and flash to Cobb Stage 1.

Here's the telemetry map of 2 hot laps at 2m28s ... 2nd hot lap hit safe mode cos the oil was abit hot ... lost abit of time there .. maybe 500 - 600ms as i mentioend to you:

looking at some of your trap speed entering the corners, i think you can easily squeeze out another 1-2sec.
Especially at 14 where your red line have a much higer entery & exit speed. Other corner i notice is T4 and T7&8...
But a gd time nonetheless.. smooth driving.
Hope to catch u on the track toward the yr end.

Actually at turn 14 looking at the red line, I think he had higher entry speed but lower exit speed
