Electric Fan Yes or No?

Ive just removed the aircon core from infront of the radiator on my R32 GTR and in doing so had to remove the electric fan to get it out of its possition. Does the electric fan only benefit the aicon or does it also cool the radiator too? My main question really is do i need to put it back in?
Many thanks in advance cheers
Bobby

But it also kicks on once your water temp reaches 90deg to help cool it down.
