Garret A/R 60 M24

Checking the turbos today on the R32 GTR and all i can see on the turbos are Garret A/R 60 M24. Can anyone tell me if they are stock turbos and are they the ceramic internal ones that dont like high boost.

Cheers

cheers for the reply but im not sure which turbo is mine from that info or even if they are standard ones.

Does anyone know how to read the info provided or know what the numbers mean? or can just tell me if they are stock ones or aftermarket?

They are not standard .
The standard ones have .42ar housings .
You will have to try to get the numbers from the ID plates , to tell exactly what they are , as lots of Garrett turbos use the .60ar m24 compressor covers .

That is the standard T04 style GT cover. The M24 is merely a casting number they use.

cheers guy for the replys. So would it be safe to assume that they are not standard ceramic turbos then?

I looked at the pics from a link i found similar to the one above that shows pics of all the turbos used on stantard GTRs and mine look the same as the BNR32 nismo ones or the R34 N1 with the rectangular plate on the housing and in the picture the standard BNR32 ones have no rectangular plate?

So are they deff not standard?

just FYI, M24 is a very very very common stamp on non GT series Garrett turbos and doesn't say anything about the size or type of the turbocharger you're dealing with. You could learn more if you take off the compressor and turbine housings and measure the inducer and exducer of each wheel.

it's not easy to be sure using the very basic info you've given, but sound like N1 turbos

Standard R32 and R33 are A/R 42
Standard R34 are A/R 53
N1s are A/R 60

Thing is, ill put money he is reading that a/r off the compressor housing, and compressor housing a/r means next to nothing.

Its the exhaust a/r that counts, and the only one anyone bothers quoting on turbos if they know what they talking about.

Are the a/r's IanC listed exhaust a/r's?
