I cannot understand why DR were happy to use a GT2 on Pilot SPort cups which are a hardcore track tyre (probably the best track road legal tyre you can get) and yet they ran the GTR on the bridgestones...which are really only summer tyres.

Its not rocket science. My GT3 is nearly 3/4 seconds quicker a lap on MPSC tyres than standard road tyres on a 2 minute circuit.

On the ring this will equate to at least 10 seconds.

The problem is that the ring is such difficult place to try to compare times because there are so many factors at play.
Sorry about that Peter I should have written "The times would have matched if the GT-R had Dunlops e.g. both GT2 and GT-R about 7.49".

I cannot for the life of me understand why they just didn't put a set of Dunlops on the GT-R, it must have cost a packet to organize this at the Ring only for them to mess it up by not using the Dunlops!
