New 2.7l build help needed

All, I am sure there are many who have been through this and I am hoping you can advise

I have to rebuild my engine and I am buying bits to do so. I have a new N1 block but I want a little more than 2568CC while I am at it.

Here's the plan: 2708CC.

With a new block, it seems a waste to bore it so.

N1 Block - (purchased)
Eagle Rods - (purchased)
Custom 77.77mm stroke crank (purchased)
Custom 86mm CP pistons (and here is the question)
GTRS Turbo's (own)
HKS Head (already own)

I can get the pistons built with:

A) The rings 'bunched', reducing the ringlands and increasing the chance of failure should the engine 'fall out of tune' and get detonation in the future (Wossner's answer to stroker pistons)

B) The standard or even increased ringland dimensions by having the oil ring 'interfere' with the pin with either an oil retainer or ring buttons to allow the lower ring to go lower than the main piston 'body'(HKS answer) The more reliable (and preferable option from the CP)

I believe A) is easy but less strong and B) is a pain in the arse to fit but the stronger option.

Which way to go?

Looking for direction if you have any please,

Cheers,
J

CP custom pistons

I would definately go the HKS way with the pin cutting the oil ring. I am in the progress of building a few engine's with standard length rods and HKS design pistons .
The HKS design has been proven in the 2.8 step 2 and 3 kits. Even with the 22mm pin in the step 3 kit they have hold outputs of 1200hp.
