Boot Build by C&N Customs
Bought a boot build which turned out to not fit in a GTR but came from a GTT.
Still got to use all the parts and got in touch with Chris and Nick and C&N Customs. Just picked the car back up today (and drove to Midlands for retrim - see interiors forum). Pictures below of the result. ![]() The travesty that was my boot prior to the work ![]() Amp #1 Second is behind the rear panel next to the battery. ![]() The sub unit is completely removable as is the amp side. Both are very snug fits in fibreglass around a wooden frame. Much lighter than the original MDF version. It therefore has easy access to the spare wheel and the HICAS fluid. Really well thought out. Cheers Guys. Chris was more than happy to chat and show me round there current projects, and Nick walked me through the new audio setup - as I had got a new ipod head unit and tweeters and crossfaders etc. I will happily recommend them. If anyone one remembers, these were the guys that did AndyC's blacker than black respray on his Skyline. |

Build approx £450 but blue alcantara added £100 to that. Labour to wire it all in and fit the equipment £350. They had my car for 1 week.
They also helped with a few niggles: Cig lighter didnt work - now fixed, rubber perished around boot - now replaced |

Skyline
Looks like a similar type theme to which i did my R33 a few years ago. Everything was removeable in under 2 mins but was to a very high spec and all did profesionally.Loos good mate.PS-Get the magic tree out as it can cause issues with the alcantara if it sits touching it for a while.

Thanks Marky. and cheers for the tip on the magic tree.
PS I used the shot of your build as a basis - so not that surprising they are similar Here are some shots of the dismantle. They put the alcantara behind the builds as well - which is nice. ![]() Both sides just pull straight out. Fit is very snug so it does not fall out going round corners ...err....vigously. Sub has only two wires to remove it. ![]() Amp has a few more wires but is similarly easy to remove. ![]() Base comes out easily for access to the spare wheel. |

Boot build
Looks really nice.I had my sub on a quick connector which just pulled out and pushed back in again.I had a false floor which went from one side to the other and front to back, this butted against everything and held it all in place.I like the idea of alantara behind the sub etc--nice touch which makes the difference.

Can I trouble you for some pics of the connectors to and from the amp and the woofer? I have a removable subwoofer with a built in amp, and I'm trying to find some decent snug connectors for easy removal. Right now I've got some cheap disconnects which aren't ideal. Thanks! |

Here's the one I built for my R32 GTR.
It is completely removeable in 10min to make it lighter for track days. The Sub Box bolts to the rear strut bar mounts, and when removed the strut bar bolts back in. ![]() |
