MFD help

hi I need some advice, I bought an mfd to go in my gtt (did it in my last one) but first one was not powering up, my electrics mate puts power to the circuit but it was not working and he thinks it was down to a ribbon missing. Anyway bought materials for him to repair and make a new ribbon meanwhile I bought another supposedly working one in case my other can't be repaired. Now I had a call today saying he can't get either to work!

I have most of the diagrams etc but feel free to post any links you have then my mate can look into it, its strange both dont work as the second one i was sold as working by Akiveli i think his name was off here and had pics of it working sent to me which makes me think maybe my mates way of powering them is wrong. I dont have another r34 gtr local to me to plug into and test that way

my main problem is he is trying to test them out of the car (car is in the bodyshop) and cant get them to power up, i need to make sure he is putting the right power to the right conenectors on the MFD as there is no loom at the moment. Itherwise a local gtr would be handy as i could test mine in their car!
