Upgrading Brake Booster...Do you need the cylinder as well?
Have got a Stagea RS260 Brake Booster coming to help out the F40 brakes now on my R32 GTR, Do I need to replace the Cylinder as well? I have no idea how this works...LOL!

regarding this issue, i fitted some time ago an alcon 6pot 355mm kit. it works mildly good, as it could be better with more agressive pads.
the thing is, how can i improve the pedal travel/feel? is it attained by installing a new master cylinder? |

A brake booster is basically a diaphragm which is suspended in a case.
The vacuum from the engine helps to move the diaphragm forward when you press on the brake pedal ,which pushes the piston on the brake master cylinder, basically lowering the "effort" required to push the brake pedal. It wont have any effect on master cylinder / slave cylinder ratio. Last edited by GT-R Glenn; 31st July 2008 at 12:08 AM. |
