Does Turbo lag exist for this car at all?

Definitely not perceptable. The GTR has one of the most responsive (if not the best)turbocharged engine in the world. Period.

it has as much torque as a NA 3.8l < 3000rpm which isn't half bad.

beyond 3000rpm, hold on to your braces.

even if you have it in R mode? it adapts to your driving too so if you're crawling around in traffic and then blast it then yes, there is a gearshift delay, but if you're driving the pants off it then it's all instant stuff..

and to the OP, no lag whatsoever. it's geared so short you'd never get lag.

correct me if I'm wrong but surely the delay people are referring to in standard auto mode is not turbo lag at all but "kickdown" lag or ,what one might call, gearbox lag?

Not a hint of Turbo Lag at all from the GTR when we've driven it, the response is good. I agree with TokyoGTR, any delay in response will be down to the Transmission dropping a few cogs, but still the transmission is lightning fast compared to other conventional Auto Boxes.
