rb30 vct

Just gathering as much info as I can, I will be fitting my rb25det head to an rb30 bottom end.
This is a link to using a different way of supplying oil for the vct on the rb25det head
Vct Alternative For 25/30 - Skylines Australia
Has anyone tried this and did it work?

Yes it does work, i have a mate with a RB25/30 and it runs really good. It's a shame really because the engine is really good but the rest of the car is really rough.

Yea it works well.
I still prefer the external line as it is a bit of a trick to get the brass plug out of the gallery and then machine a new one and tap it in and drill into it.

I dont have any pics doing it, but if your near london i can do it for you, for a small fee.... well maybe 12 small fees, about 500ml each

Sorry mate not in London.
I'm attempting an Irish rb30 build.

I have the facilities for machining the brass, but if you had a diagram of rough dimensions or a diagram of hoe to do it that would be great.

Autospeed did an RB25/30 conversion, so it must work.
