R.I.P.S 10 second stock internal RB30 GTS4 gets a feature
A GTS4 we built quite some time ago got a feature in last months NZ performance car magazine.
This was one for our first 4wd RB30 builds and its been a reliable 10 second street carever since. When we built it the motor spec was: Totally stock internal RB30 with new rings and bearings only. RIPS 4wd adapter kit RIPS high capacity sump RIPS inlet plenim RIPS exhaust manifold with T66 Stock R32 RB25de head with stock N/A cams and springs 75hp wet NOS kit Stock gearbox with RIPS steel flywheel and tripple plate clutch. Stock diffs Stock suspension Here's a couple of early vids of it: YouTube - RIPS skyline stock internal motor 10 second 1/4 YouTube - RIPS RB30 GTS4 burnout starting in 4th I got a 10.97 @ 124mph from it first time out and on street tyres. The guy I built it for sold it about a year ago, the new owner has given the motor a freshen up, done some head work, cams etc and he has since done a 10.89 @ 130mph, here's the story: ![]() ![]() Next time someone tells you, you must have forged pistons, aftermarket rods, headwork, cams, valve springs, gearbox upgrades etc to run 10s in a street GTS4/GTR, it might pay to show them this.
