The Garage (Motherwell, Scotland)

Again a big thanks to Marc and all the guys at The Garage for sorting the car.
Nothing major this time just fuel pump and Mines baffles.

Special thanks to Marc for letting me pick the car up from his house as I couldnt make it to the workshop during normal hours

Stuck with the mesh Cokey ... foam has no place inside an engine even if its tucked up inside a baffle plate.

The design and concept of the baffles is good, quality was also good, because Andys rockers have been chromed the O/E baffles had already been removed and siliconed back in which made it a tad messy but it wasnt a bad job. 3 hours from start to finish if I remember correctly and that included 10 mins in the parts washer to remove all the old silicon particles.

Hi Mark, I was of the same opinion, however the fact that it seems to be open cell made me consider both.
Mrs C wondered Why I was breathing into a bit of foam for 5 mins ?
I asked her if my face was red ? she replied no but its only me,no need to be embarrassed.

Got room for an Mot and pre map next week mate ?
cokey

Yar, just give me a phone and get Beckie to book you in mate, I have a few training courses to do over the next week or two so best make sure I am in before you pop over.

Alex, I own the garage but infrequently attend the forum these days not to mention I have no wish to breech the forum rules as regards obtaining buisness from its members.

The problem you are suffering is due to the syncro gears being worn and although a change to new oil may minimise the problem it will never eradicate it. If its an early 32 the parts are no longer avaliable and you will have to move to the later 33 modified shaft and rings.

Anyhoo, all speculation but by all means phone or even better just pop along for a visit but as mentioned I am sitting my MOT Training this week so will not be back in untill Monday.

further reccomendation from myself for The Garage( would have done so earlier on this thread but not long back from honeymoon so just catching up) they do the work on my GTR, have worked on all 6 of my cars over the last 8 years or so from my rather iffy mk4 escort boy racer car when I was a teenager, through my impreza type r, 330/380 bhp rover depending if gas was on or not (they built this from standard for me) to my current R32 GTR, also my wifes rather nippy Volvo S40

Can't reccomend them enough, oh and Alex, the owners name is Marc.
