R35's at keighly trade centre

sorry to start another thread about this..
went down to see both the grey and black R35s today, both looked stunning.. slightly tainted by the garage around them i must say

anyway i was lookin and this guy kept looking over to us, so i went and asked him ' how much do you actually pay to import one of these?'

he replied, ' thats a bit of a cheeky question isnt it?'

lmao awh well

i was just wondering how there prople could afford to sell them for 60K when they have to buy the things and then pay all the charges to get them in the uk?
seems like we should all go fishing in japan for some GTR's!

the R35s were parked next to a right scruffy R34GTT the poor thing

i really hope no one is stupid enough to actually buy a GTR from Autotrader for 65-70k, these guys are seriously greedy and i hope they get loads of tire kickers and time wasters. ask around loads of people are private importing from Japan or wait for Nissan UK to get it together with their supply finally meeting demand

You can pick a GTR R35 used in Japan now for 35k. OTR price your looking at 42500 (ish)

But am I right in saying that Nissan wont warrent a Grey import?

Hedgehog Dodger,

Isn't your OTR figure a bit on the low side?

Surely a 35k GTR would attract VAT, Duty and ESVA costs?

Wouldn't that mean a registered car would come in at about £48-£50k?

I'd certainly be hesitant about buying a car from KTC anyway!! And I think you're right about Nissan UK not wanting anything to do with imports.

auction prices are around £38K
I was also looking into it
forget KTC would not even buy a tyre valve cover from them
