don't change anything without talking thoroughly with a tuner. And you don't chip the ECU, you have to replace it with one that's been remapped. And if you stick in a Japanese remapped ECU(Tomei, Mines, etc), your engine will blow due to octane differences and you'll be out ten grand to rebuild the thing.

I have recently chipped my R32 ECU. To do this I bought a 28 pin dip socket, unsoldered the old chip, soldered the socket and then fitted a stage 1 eprom. I have been very pleased so far with the result, as I was simply after better fuel economy and drivability. The RK chip is supposed to be very good, so if they can supply you the chip or you have got hold of one, go for it! If you need any help pm me. |
