Wink

I understand where you coming from Ru,you actualey sound very factual and intelligent there not that you not so a 275 does not necassarily give more grip than a 265 because the amount of rubber in contact with the road surface could be the same? Thats me reading it through in my grey matter The 275 there for would not necassarily put more undue stress on components then? And you would seee a more pleasing fat piece of rubber to the eye

I'd guess that the extra stress on 275s compared to 265s would be minimal. Having said that different makes of the same size have different tread widths; I think toyo t1r like I have are relatively 'narrow' compared to some. Did I mention 275s look cool?

hi pete.

i believe that you mean on 18's.

i cant really give you an expert advice, as i am still playing with my pressures.

on the road i use 2.1 bar fronts and 2.0 bar back (my rear cockpit is stripped)
on track i use 2.0 bar front and around 1.8/1.9 back.
both pressures on road tyres.

i really dont know how much pressure to use on the slicks now.
any advices would be appreciated
=)

They are 17 s, but that wouldn't affect the pressures.
I have 35 psi rear, 40 psi front, realy rock hard.
2.0 bar is only 32psi ??

275 35's good choice, at 275 35 on 18 you will maintain the OEM rolling radius. Plus theyll look fat as a mother! and yeh, diff manufacturers contact patches have different widths and yeh sometimes the wider the tyre, the less traction in severe conditions.
