High-spec R32 - exterior?

Hi everybody,

I've been on and off this board for quite a while, having had little time to tinker with my GT-R:s and even less to think about them. For over for years, that is. But... finally a fairly high-spec LHD R32 project is getting close to completion and I'm currently trying to decide which colour to paint it.

The car itself is, technically, built by Auto Service Mori. It currently has a T88-34D turbo (laggy... huge... on its way out), OS Giken transmission, 2.7l kit, F50 brakes, full-race circuit suspension etc. A semi-serious track day car and a really refreshing change to driving dedicated racing cars. It is, of all colours, gunmetal. Having had gunmetal R32:s for about 14 years, I want something different. Currently we're torn between Powder Pink (the famous pearlescent "Victoria's Secret" Aston Martin colour) and metal black - this car is my wife's summer toy so it's more or less up to her, but I still prefer black. I want it to be as unrecognizable as possible and I think I can talk her into black (her daily driver, RS6, is black - her choice ) but before I do, I'd like to hear what YOU think.

Externally the differences from stock are vented carbon bonnet, Veilside front bumper (I have a stock bumper with Nismo vents as well), DIY gurney flaps on top of stock rear spoiler as well as trunk lid, very low stance and black Enkei wheels w/ wide-ish A048 rubber. Quite subdued, that is - all go, no show. I've also thought about ordering a pair of clear front indicators as soon as I find them at a sensible price, but that's low on priority list.

Most of my cars/trucks are black and I ordered an R35 in black, too, so it's safe to say that I'm fond of the colour, but I haven't really decided what to do with this one. It has a hinged front plate (40mph+ and it folds in the IC opening in the bumper - never mind the gatsos ) and painting the R32 in an unusual colour is the only thing that could, effectively, give me away.

Ouch. What would *you* do? If you have a better idea, I'd like to hear it. Red and gunmetal are out of the question, I've had way too many white GT-R:s and even midnight purple is already "taken" by my R33. Dare to be different and blend in the crowd at the same time? Help...

How about a nice sharp silver?

HOK Orion silver met base coat is very nice, I used that as my base coat for a kandy re-spray but the kandy went wrong.
