I don't think so. I am Italian, I love jap cars, I have ordered a GT-R in red (like you) and I import from Jap tabletennis material (my work).
I think that there are good and bad magazines and people in Italy in Japan and in all the world. I always read your posts because I think you are one of the best specialist in GT-R
Best Regards
mate, not trying to cause offence but i'm a former Ferrari (x2) owner and have to say that the Italian mags I used to get were very biased in their test reports. In fact I just came back from a holiday in Sardina a week ago and bought a car mag at the airport as it had the GT-R in there. They didn't slag it completely but they scored it very low compared to other european marques.

Just saying horses for courses. Just because one mag in italy does this does not mean all italians are the same buddy....

Ok, thank you very much for the answer. I know that some important italian mag prefer Italian cars (Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati) and at second place German cars but other italian mags are more careful also for jap cars. I hope you had good holidays in sardinia. I play tabletennis (first division) in Alghero (north sardinia) for 5 years. Very nice island but expensive...like Ferrari.

Will it make me change my mind about ordering.....hell no !
I have to disagree. The test is unfair. Imagine being the manufacturer of those high end Supercars. The modern day GT-R came very close to beating them in the performance department in there own back yard at a third of the price. I feel for them, I really do

the test which was covered month ago :P was really unfair.

the driver is against nissan for some reasons (i forget).

but overall its not that unfair, those other cars are more expensve, have more horsepower and lighter weight than the gt-r. those cars are actually a bit better than the gt-r, but its great that the gt-r is number 11 in the list (number 10 not including wet tracks). so thats a great accomplishment.

as pointed out, you can hardly call it unfair, the gtr is chucked into the ring with the latest. most hi tech and best supercars that the 3 best sports car marques in the world can make, and it holds its own

not bad for a 4 door taxi with a boot

I am amazed that no one mentioned a big difference in the test: all the three other cars were equipped with so called "sport tires", PS2 Cup and PZero Corsa. They say that only changing to this tires can gain you 8-9 seconds on Nordschleife.
I know that the RE070 are not quite normall summer tires, but they are very far away from being full blown semislicks like the others.

Oh, and in a european language, the pilot's name, Prost, means Dumb/stupid.

Very good point indeed.

Although I would have to agree with Prost on his comment about weight. None the less as others have said it is a huge achievement/compliment for Nissan/GTR to be compared with the top marques of supercars.

Far more fair comparison would be with the Spec-V.
