Tested: 430 S - LP560 - GT2 - GT-R

An italian magazine har tested the GT-R against europes best, pictures here: SUPERCARS.NET - Community Forums

and the GT-R is rated absolutly last.
1. Scuderia 933
2. 2. LP560 895
3. GT2 860
4. GT-R 728

This is the first time I've seen the GT-R slowest on a racetrack. So maybe 7'29 doesn't mean anything after all

its amazing that the GTR is even tested against such company tbh mate. Look at the price difference though.. Id still be abit skeptical really as alot of people have so far tested the GTR with different results. Id give it abit of time.. Hey if all else fails then an exhaust change and a reflash is all thats needed and then we can wave goodbye to these others lol

The GT-R is beaten by faster, lighter Supercars. I don't think that should be a surprise. What is a surprise is how close it comes to matching them

I think on the UK's crap and damp roads the GT-R will be more than a match for the GT2 and the prancing horse.

Anyway I'll be happy in my GT-R What makes me say that is if you gave me the keys to all four and said. Pick one to own for 3 years I would take the GT-R.

I saw that test about month ago...
Guys, those 3 cars are racing versions of the production supercars (scuderia - racing version of 430, GT2 - racing 911 Turbo and Lambo 560 - it's a bit redisigned and tuned original Lambo)
GTR is a car that has full options, electrical seats, 4 seats, Bose sound system and many many other options that make life convenient...
They say in that test that GT2 can adjust the seat only backward and forward (no up down, no leaning them...) and 430 scuderia is a car that doesn't have a radio on that test and has those cross racing seat belts (don't think it is very practical to use it few times a day), they are all 2 seaters...How can they even compare such almost racing cars and a GTR that can actually be used daily and is much more functional...They should have compared normal 911 Turbo, normal 430 and normal Lambo...But then, we know what the results would be like...
It was not a fair test I would say...

Agree fully. Maybe it would be fair to put thefuture spec V in this test. But still, Spec V will cost less than half from the other 3 in this test. It's a real honour the GT-R is so respected that it is put in test with such competitors!

If you don't know how to drive the car, you will make it look inferior. It's that's simple

totally

real world driving, especially on crap bumpy and pot holed roads bears no reality to driving on a mirror smouth track, low down torques is as important as bhp, 4wd gives super stable driving on the 180 days of rain a year the uk gets, DSG means never being in the wrong gear and never getting caught napping. 4 seats and a large boot and 1/3 rd of the price just hows how amazing the GT-R is that it can get so close. And for those who like to play "ePeen Top Trumps" theres allways aftermarket tuning

and then theres the other factor, how often will you ever see one of these cars on the road? and if you do what are the odds the numpty even knows how to change gear properly?

Not really a fair test!

Nissan GTR, £52,900, 473bhp, 1740kg, 272bhp/tonne

Porsche GT2, £131,080, 523bhp, 1440kg, 363bhp/tonne

Lambo LP560/4, £147,330, 552bhp, 1500kg, 374bhp/tonne

Ferrari Scuderia, £172,625, 503bhp, 1350kg, 378bhp/tonne

So on average these cars are three times the price, have a 100bhp/tonne more and do not have 4 seats and a boot, so as someone else said, the fact that it was even tested with these cars is a testament to how good the car must be!

Guys - lets get real. There was none of this "unfair" test business when the GTR spanked the Scuderia's time around the Top Gear track - I think it is obvious that the GTR punches way above its price tag and bloatedness - however it competes with some spectacular machines and on some days , on certain roads and with the vagaries of the hand built engine, you have to accept that the GTR will get beaten fair and square.

Will it make me change my mind about ordering.....hell no !

see my thread on street racing videos in Korea. It's like the entire Gumball field driven by college kids gathered together for some fast 'n' furious action - the list of exotics that run at these meets, well, nothing you can think of is missing. Driving skill makes a difference.

...surely the cars in this test were driven by the same red leather slip-on clad 5ft journo? ...

Dear Tokyo GTR, do you think that Italian people and Italian magazine are all idiots ?
I don't think so. I am Italian, I love jap cars, I have ordered a GT-R in red (like you) and I import from Jap tabletennis material (my work).
I think that there are good and bad magazines and people in Italy in Japan and in all the world. I always read your posts because I think you are one of the best specialist in GT-R
Best Regards
