Could be worse. You could accidentally insert a CD just above the CD player unit in your car. You could then have to remove the unit to get it out, only one of the screws finds its way down a small crevice.....etc.........

They were a good idea a long time ago - screw Mk 1.

It's the moron's who still spec them still that are the problem.

I always laugh about the morons using flat screwdrivers on hose clips, rather then the (most common here) 7mm hex nut and a ratchet.. Not long 'til he pierces his knuckle, arm, the hose or whatever.

I too hate sloted screws. I've got to work with screws professionally, thank god no ones using them in automated screwdrivers

I'd like to add to this those tiny allen key driven bolts present on (Japanese) motorcycles. You can guarentee that any which are more than five minutes old will round as soon as an allen key is waved in their general direction.

lol. whats wrong with you lot, sausage fingered by any chance

dont generally have a problem with them myself, no more so than anything else especially small allen screws as mentioned..

this is a bit like the mythically awkward to change rb26 oil filter. done it 3 times now(in 14,000 km) never had a problem!!!!!!!!
