2003 SkodaOctavia VRS Estate

My immaculate series one Octavia VRS estate is regrettably for sale, as I no longer need a "proper" second car.

The car was pretty much fully optioned at the original point of sale (I am the second owner), and comes with cruise control and parking sensors, in addition to all of the good stuff that these come with as standard (4x electric windows, electric sunroof, climate control, 6CD multiplayer, part leather, traction control, etc.), not to mention the all-important 20 valve turbocharged engine borrowed from the Volkswagen Audi family.

The car has a full service history, and a genuine, documented, low mileage of a shade over 53k.

These are getting scarce now in this superb unmolested condition, so buy now to avoid disappointment!

Well done!

First post - don't bother to introduce yourself in anyway - just join up on a SKYLINE-related forum and post up a SKODA for sale ad. Nice. Smooth. Very impressive.

Best bit? Well, you completely forgot to put any price or contact details. So here's me - imagine I want to buy your car. I'll just get my f**king crystal ball out shall I? Use my psychic powers to track you down, give mystic Meg a quick bell to find out how much you want for the car and then wave some money at you, yes?

Excellent tactical advertising, Mr OSB.

Go.

Away.

My word, what a lovely, welcoming bunch you Skyline owners are!

The reason that the car is advertised here? I don't need a proper car, I'll be replacing this with a toy, and until I saw some of these responses, a Skyline was on the list. Now, I'm more likely to stick rusty forks into my eyes than be associated with Skyline owners, especially those who deride me for not advertising one of their favoured cars, when listing their BMW "armchair" in their signature...

Jim, Trev and see_no_evo, thanks for welcoming me to the Skyline family. I'll leave the advert here, unless you want to complain to the moderators.

For those who do have a genuine interest (an my apologies for not including this earlier), the asking price is £5,995, and you can contact me through this forum. Once the initial contact has been made, I'll give you my email address, I just don't want to make it available to spam bots...

Well thats rich seeing as

No one knows you

And you have misread the posts .

The point is that this was your first post and its an ad for your a car .
It would be the same if it was a bmw audi or whatever including a skyline. If you had been on the forum even for a week you would know that.

This is not the autotrader which is how you are treating it -You find a forum and put your car on it .
you have no history - you could easily be a dealer .I am not saying you are just that no one knows for sure .

No one is likely to contact you - we dont even know where in the uk you are
At least with an autotrader ad we know how far we would need to travel.

And when you speak about "skyline owners " what did you expect to find on this forum .

If three or four comments after you have blatantly taken the P1ss means you wont look at a skyline then trust me

you definately dont want one and never did

But what you actually posted was this

My question is this - the car has had a 1 bar conversion with Apexi filters & cat-back 5Zigen exhaust (so it'll be what - around 340bhp?) and I thought I'd better ask before trying any launches. I don't wanna toast or shred the clutch so I need to know whether or not I can 'launch' and if so, what revs is best for launching from traffic lights? I have a pesky M3 living near me that needs a spanking...
