I was in a very tired looking 2001 S3 (igetting replaced by a 335D next week!).

I was 2 cars back of you most of the way and followed you off the slip road and round the roundabouts as you seemed to know where you were going

Yes, sorry, you said about the S3 already and the clue is in your name!

That was the first time I'd been to Nobles - TomTom was doing the navigation!

No worries...i was very discrete about my car amongst the Lambo etc I think i de-clutched going past the front door

But a GTR meet up in Scotland sounds like an idea.

Only prob i can see with that is that it will be 1 person in May, 3 in June, 5 in July....etc But i'm sure we can sort something out - or maybe David can. He'll be best placed to

Hi Guys,
how did the event go?
i know i'm a couple of weeks behind the times, just been really busy workwise of late, and spending loads of time in London at the mo.
Russ, when are you next at Big duncs? - give me a shout as it would be great to meet up and see your Supe too.

Am still looking out for a 246GTS, but got myself a wee summer runabout (i know, what summer!!) to add to the collection - a mint Lotus elan S2.

any update on whether any Uk cars still available for next year?
Cheers

Hey, Ian - good to meet you at the academy. How are you getting on with your 335D?

Hey Supracat! Welcome back! Congratulations on the Lotus. Interesting car.

Hello. Nice to have you back.

I was over at Big Dunc's a few weeks ago to get my air-conditioning fixed. It was just a flying visit and Duncan told me that you weren't around, so I didn't get in touch on that occasion. I will next time though. Definitely.

The event at Nobles was quite good. It was good to meet David and Sharon at last, but it was particularly good to meet dwreid for the first time, and P1toR35 again. Apparently TrickyB was standing behind me during the whole event, but we only realised that when we met up at Silverstone last Monday!

Silverstone was awesome. I take it you've been reading all about it on the other threads?

Congratulations on the Elan! Some pics please! Or better still, an invitation to come over and see it!

What do you mean about UK cars being available next year?

i asked my HPC to check whether we could have a choice of tyre as was concerned that the bridgestones have been reported to have unsatisfactory wet weather performance (see my thread in the R35 tyre/wheel subforum). The dunlops apparently have great wet weather performance and the UK press car ( the one that went round the test gear track) was shod in dunlops. So far i've only driven the car on pirellis (at Silverstone) and would be quite satisfied with pirellis also.

ps..welcome back to the forum Supracat

Hi Mate,
Let me know you are next over at Duncs or over this way and you'd be more than welcome to drop in for a good chat.
Having rethought why i originally wanted a GTR and having 'mellowed' about nissans crap service i'm slowly coming round to thinking about trying to get one again, ideally a cancellation order for next year. - must be silver though!
Cheers
