r32 gtr oil pressure

hi guys.

Just wondered if some of you could give me an idea of what oil pressure your car runs in certain conditions.

I've just had my oil changed and done around 500 miles on it and I'm getting:

Cold start up --- 4.2bar
Cold engine @ 3k --- 5.9bar
After a long run at 2.5-3k --- 2.1bar
After a long run at tickover --- 1.8-1.9bar
After very hard driving on tickover --- 1.2bar

I'm only putting bar as that's what I presume the standard dash guage reads in.

I get a bit paranoid about it as after I first bought the car the oil pump failed and I had to shell out some serious cash on a rebuild.

Thanks in advance.

Ross

standard gauge isn't very accurate...

But I don't like the 1.2bar bit... as oil get hot, it will get thinner, but 1.2bar might be a bit lower then I like.

My oil was 1.5-1.6bar at tickover 110C after getting off the track... That was using 10w50, I now use 15w50 and the oil pressure is slighly higher... but I haven't track it yet.

Might consider using a thicker engine oil if you push your engine that hard.
