when are they officially arriving?

I called up middlehurst today and they said if i put a deposit down now, I will not get it til 2010

So, when are the first batch of official UK cars arriving then?

Do they all get delivered "evenly" thru out the year? or say 100 every 3 months (sorry i just made this number up, correct it please if someone knows)

Thanks

The first batch arrive in April 2009. The early cars don't have Sat-Nav.

The first cars with Sat-Nav (you must have Sat-Nav if ordering now) arrive in September 2009.

I might be wrong, but I think there were about 1000 orders initially, 750 without Sat-Nav and 250 with. The 750 are spread evenly between April and July (nothing in August I think) and the 250 are spread evenly between September and December, implying that Nissan are greatly reducing the number coming to the UK each month after July.

So, there are some people who ordered on the earliest possible day but aren't getting their cars until the end of 2009 (me for example!). Therefore "2010" isn't as bad as you might think. However, from what I've heard, you might be looking at 2nd or 3rd quarter 2010.

I was told there are approx 500 non-nav orders being delivered April - July 2009 and around 350 nav cars from September - March 2010.

Thereafter It is expected that an annual allocation of 400-500 vehicles will be available.

Perhaps Davros can confirm?

Some dealers on Auto trader are selling r35's for April / May 2009 for 59 grand ,I presume some of these Sharks bought a lot of the deposits early to make a proffit of about 5 or 6 grand with out doing anything. September 2010 for a Uk car if you order one now ,that was a few weeks ago ,could be longer now .

if you order one now you should get it (LATEST) summertime 2010, most likely to come forward a bit. Yea there are guys who have bought a few and will sell them at a premium which is how it has always went, nothing new there. Just some people dont like it and i can understand that also.

I think it is around 900 cars in 2009. The following years allocation will be less. I would expect a 15-18 month lead time once all the initial orders start being delivered.

900 cars for 2009 ? You Englishmen are so lucky. Only 60 cars were allocated for France for 2009! And I read it was the same for Germany, Italy, Spain...

I thought the idea of not being able to pass your place in the queue to someone else was to deter speculators as when selling the car the buyer would become the second owner.
This car advertiser is saying potential buyers would be listed as the first owner, is this possible

It won't be possible - any change in customer details means Nissan regains control of the vehicle and it is given to the next person in the queue.

Some dealers put money down themselves for the first order of cars knowing the car is going to be popular and waiting lists for going on ages .Ok so it will be a new car with 2 names on the log book

I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them, looks like someone is out to make a quick buck

Assuming that what your saying is correct, on collection day, Nissan will not hand over the keys to the car if not the original customer? There could be a few GTR's sitting in forecourts if the spec doesn't match the next person (or after) in the queue!

Will it get to that point? Or will Nissan wave some sort of magical wand that can deter speculators?

Surely, if the speculator paid up, had the keys, nothing can stop them from selling the car to a 2nd buyer.

Is the a final contract to sign soon? I haven't been sent one yet!
