BBC NEWS | Magazine | Five alternative Olympics medals tables

Make of it what you will, but personally I agree with table #1 and maybe 2, even if it does push us down the table.

Table 2 is slightly fairer but I agree with hodgie in a way. In some walks of life 2nd place goes home in bag.
