High Coolant Temps and steam in passenger compartment
Hi all,
Was driving the car today and started to get coolant steam blowing out of the vents for the windscreen over on the passenger side, fine wafts of it and then i noticed my coolant temp at 101°C its never got this high ever before, when i put the cabin fan on full blast there was quite a bit of steam. Was defo coolant as could smeel the antifreeze in it. I have noticed the car over the last few weeks lightly steaming up on the windscreen on the passengers side about a 1/3 of the way along from the passenger door in a vertical patch, usually when ive driven the car and come back to it. But today was the first time ive seen actual steam vapour blowing into the cabin. About the sametime ish I fitted a nismo racing radiator cap could this have something to do with it as it is higher pressure than standard. There also seems to be a coolant pipe entering the cabin from the engine bay around the area that steam was coming from. Anyone any ideas ![]() |
