700 miles in two days in a completely stripped out metro. not one inch of sound deadening, and an exhaust over 100db!. 240 motorway miles were on Yoko A048's which hum and drum like a bastard at speed!
still, didn't break down ![]() mook

I must admit watching China`s efforts to close the games then switching to London and watching the celebrations was a bit like dining at The Ritz only to come home and throw on the BBQ for a few friends. It would have been embarressing if that was beamed world wide, was it?
I have a rant about this whole thing though....yet again my hard earned tax going to London. I don`t think the govt. will be happy til we all move to the South East of England. Is the viallge going to turn into another dome? That fanastic labour gift to the whole country???....in London of course.lol |

not quite......
What i mean Hodgie is that if you imagine looking through a television at the show case of organisation , the feeling of money spent, the attention to detail etc of The Ritz then its over to my back yard to witness my BBQ as my effort to compete.
Ok, i know that this isn`t Londons opening ceremony or anything like that but it just looked as if it cost about 50p to put together the whole acceptance party. Lacked the dignity and respect the olympics deserve. One positive though and this might be just me but i thought Sophie Ellis-Bextors version of...christ forgotten the name of the song now.....was first class and dare i say, even better than the original. |
