Interesting vid, does not show the GTR crushing the porker, does show some dodgy driving thou

Drove both a LHD US spec GTR and a JDM model RHD yesterday at Silvestone and the flappy paddles were exactly the same.

RHS upshift, LHS downshift.

GTR

Length 4655 mm - 15'3"
Width 1895 mm - 6'3" - exc. mirrors
Height 1370 mm - 4'6"
Wheel Base 2780 mm - 9'1"

taken from Cars & Car Dealers | UK Motoring Research

So the GTR is 87mm wider than a 997 so 4.3cm wider at each side..

but 22cm longer.

If you're worried about tight roads, is 9cm really such an issue? Thats less than the average change in width of a carriageway due to roadside plant growth!

Big in my mind is a Range Rover Sport...

Length 4788 mm - 15'9"
Width 1983 mm - 6'6" - exc. mirrors
Height 1812 mm - 5'11"
Wheel Base 2745 mm - 9'0"

And having driven the GTR yesterday at Silverstone I can honestly say it never actually felt big. Quite the opposite.

The only issue for some may be the length of the thing.

Ford Transit is a bit wider, i have a look when i see one In St Helens next.
Cheers
Mike

Yep.

Turned the wheel right, both cars steered right....

Turned the wheel left, both cars steered left....

or maybe that's where I was going wrong......

Ford Tranny is 1974mm wide (2360 with mirrors).

That explains why those Range Rovers look so big....cos they are!

Yeah okay, brain fart. Sitting on the wrong side of the car makes a huge difference though.
