R33 two prong aerial plug jobby

Hi,

I have (had) a two wire aerial lead with a weird looking two prong plug in the end.
Both shielded, one is about 50% larger diameter than the other.

Does anyone know what they are both for?

Some dirty little scroat has run off with my stereo, and the two prong plug and its adapter.

I've tried soldering an aerial plug directly onto the thicker wire, but no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

One prong goes to the windscreen aerial, the other goes to the conventional teloscopic one (choose one or the other). Need to use the side contact for the 'earth' (screen) of the aerial lead.

Thanks for your reply ru'

Would my motor have both sorts. Definitely got an automatic boot aerial, but no sign of a windscreen one?

I wondered if the second cable was feed to the electric aerial relay? If not I don't suppose you know how I might wire that up? Only my aerial doesn't raise anymore.

Thanks for your help.
