oil pressure on a r32 gtst???

i am quite new to this skyline ownership, and being used to fords i never trust the guages to much, but the oil pressure on the dash is doing weird things it is nothing on tickover and doesnt really move much when driving, saying that ater a sprited drive it will move to 4 but thats about it..

so i was hoping some one can let me know if the dash guage is any good and how hard is it to fit another one just to be sure its all ok.....

many thanks in advance ivan s..

Yes.. The stock gauges have quite a reputation for giving out mis-guided readings.

changed the oil pressure switch on a few and that has sorted them out but all were just reading low all the time around 1 bar warm under 2 bar cold, yours sounds like it might be the guage as said above

The stock oil pressure when warm & idle is around 2. When driving it should be about 4.
