Rapid Down Shift... It does work...

On my drive in to work this morning I experimented with the gearbox and found the following:

Normal Mode When Coasting= If you press the downshift twice, it will change down twice, not skip straight from 4th to 3nd.

Normal Mode When Driving fast= Same as above BUT will shift much faster.

R Mode when Coasting = Same as Above

R Mode when driving fast = it will jump to the gear you selected, ie 4th to 2nd INSTANTLY when you double down shift fast.

So, it's the stupid learning gearbox getting in the way. Once it detects you're pushing it a bit it reacts much much faster. I'm starting to wonder if there is a way to turn off the learning mode and have it permanently set to "driving fast" or circuit mode...

the learning is very short though. it only remembers the last few mins it seems. maybe not even as long as that. i was hammering this morning and things were going fine. slowed down for about 30 secs, did a double flip down and it was back to slow mode again. keeping your foot on the gas seems to affect it too though.
