Newbie question

My first post - just ordered a GTR, but have to wait 2 years for it to arrive, which at least it gives me some time to save!

I've provisionally ordered a red premium spec GTR but wonder what the Black edition offers in addition - is it just the darker wheels, red bits on the leather seats and black roof lining? Or is there something else - for example I read somewhere that the tyres are different on the standard car compared to the Premium and Black edition but don't see this on the Nissan website which makes me wonder if there are other (minor) differences.

^ LOL!

It's not that much money to spend on a car without knowing what the different specs are........

I know what the different specs are as far as what is shown on the Nissan UK website - I'm asking if there are other minor differences that are not mentioned such as different tyres.

Come on guys, this is my first post so try and be nice!

i'm just surprised given the press this car has had that someone buy's the car, does not know what the different versions are and THEN goes onto a GT-R website to ask. and only has one post.

For f*ck sake, someone just tell him! To my knowledge, they are the only differences. Why it costs an extra £1300 to make these bits in different colours I do not know!

Thank you Turbobungle!
I also wondered what was meant by the troll comment - I assumed it was insulting so chose to ignore it

is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

this is called trolling and often leads to the response do not feed the trolls

Fair enough! I also ordered my car without seeing or driving one, over the phone to a dealer I'd not been to! I assume most of the GTR orders have been placed this way. I must admit, I didn't realise the Black got Black headlining til after I'd placed my order either. Not that that would have made any difference! I'd like to see Jagseven's GTR when it arrives though, I've not seen a red premium in any pics yet.

Your suprise is bizarre.
I have had my deposit down since april in addition to a 'pre' deposit down for a year now, I have read every article ever written about it (almost) and I have no idea about the answers to the chaps question.
I thought this was exactly the place to come to ask things like this.
Black addition for me incidentally and I haven't got the faintet idea what i am getting for my money apart from a ****ing amazing car.

Congrats on the order jagseven, ordered myself a Black Black Edition just over a month ago so I too have an agonisingly long wait.

From what I have read and been told I think you get a choice of tyre with Premium and Standard packages, and no choice with the Black Edition. I have no idea what this choice is though. As for the other things i dont have a clue, I just went with the Black Edition for the wheels, I just assumed there would be more options available nearer the time of build.

i understand final specs including optional extras and their prices will be announced later this month. by the way i also placed my order online on impulse without any dealer contact apart from a brief phone call to express interest several months before. had read write ups in evo etcetera but didn't really have much knowledge about specs....just chose a colour for the outside and the inside.............then later decided i'd regret it if i didn't have the bose hi fi so upgraded to premium.
