Question How to control boost

I have a greddy profec B and only want the boost to come in at 4000rpm on the turbo.
Is there a way to tune my power fc to only come onto boost at 4000rpm and above?
I owned a F-con V once that only allowed boost after 4000rpm and loved it as the Turbo wasn't boosting all the time.
I wondered if i could control this through the profec b, tried turning the sharpness of boost down very low but it didn't really do much any idea's?

Thanks

Jonathon

Jonathon,

As far as I am aware you cannot do this with the PowerFC.
You can do it with the AVC-R though as you can adjust the solenoid duty in relation to revs.
If you don't want boost before 4000 or so just put on a bigger blower, you'll get more power as an added bonus

Thanks Jez hope all is well and your making lots of new customers!
Try to throw as much business your way as I can as I'm so impressed with your prices it'd be rude not too

Big turbo may have to wait a while longer and also i would like to be able to control revs and boost anyway. I guess its wired the same ways as the profec b so should be easy to fit myself.

Will the AVC-R come up on the PFC in the boost control setup or is it stand alone?

Looks like my profec B may be up for sale!

cheers

Jonathon

Jonathon,

Things are going well thanks
The AVC-R is standalone and will not interface with the PowerFC.
You can see more details on it on my website.
You can also download the AVC-R manual from the Apexi USA website, this will give you an idea of what it is capable of - http://www.apexi-usa.com/documentation.asp
