Hey just bought a super silver US GTR thats fully loaded. Spoke to the dealer out there thats been shipping them over since release and he says i can walk in to a nissan dealership and pick up the eu disc for all the roads in europe? anyone know what the part number is or what other sat nav systems use the same software?

Also whats good on the tuning front...i havean option to send it to the only las vegas tuners before it gets here.....im not sure its worth it though i was looking at exhausts and ecu tuning? not sure whats good though....whats a decent level before things start to break?

if your satnav is the same as the JDM version then the data is on the hard drive. there is no disc. also, given that the euro cars don't even have a euro satnav yet i find it hard to believe.

if you can get a disk, 50 cars in Europe would like one....

Nissan uses a different sat nav system in UK and Europe

rgh either way i bought it. Super silver witheverything. recieved an email from nissan saying that a uk dealer would be able to unlock the satnav t se over there, not sure of the actual wording ill get it forwarded for me. I should get it on the 30th......along with the rest f the shipment....which maybe a black one also

i think it is a total disgrace that the first UK cars wont have satnav and yet the Jap and US versions already have it.

WTF is going on???

a completely new system that is nothing like either of the two systems currently in place! it could be worse, you could all be waiting until september '09 to see any cars!

are you not a fan of change???

the new system is HD based so more versatile and far easier to upgrade! IMO (and not just as a dealer) the better system is more than worth the wait!

has anyone here ot a us GTR? im used to getting US cars and the people that the boy picking my car up over there spoke to said that ALL the functions of the car worked in europe....radio, satnav....etc etc

I see Audi has released details of their new satnav system today. The new system has digitised landmarks in 3D, looks neat.

It will be disappointing if Nissan dont surpass it.
