People who state they drive something they don't in thrreads
People who state they drive a GTR and it's either a GTS or GTS-t.
It's the same on Auto Trader and Ebay with ads for GTR and when you look its a GTS. Do me a favour scrap the GTS and get a proper skyline and a GTR too which the mark was made famous by. You wouldn't go out and buy a Ferreri replica based on a MR2 turbo. ![]() That would break my heart if you want a Ferreri then get one and if you want a Skyline/GTR then get a GTR. That's what it's all about. The GTR. ![]() ![]() When I first seen the GTR a GTS was not an option many years ago when first seeing a R32 GTR in action with a XJ220. I said to myself a GTR is what I want and that's what I'll have someday. Nine years with the car I'm still as happy. Last edited by bazgtr; 5th September 2008 at 09:48 PM. |

Fair enough scrap the 4Door NA 2.0 ~ but the R33 GTS-25t and R34 GTT’s are decent cars in their own right with massive tuning potential and not to be scorned at. |

So what about people who dont actually want a GTR ? Like me... I dont pretend my car is anything that it isnt, And you should have a go in a well sorted GTSt before making such sweeping comments and suggesting they should be scrapped tbh.

The GTR has more advanced technologies and a better chassis then the GTS Skylines, but that doesn't make the GTS crap cars. I had a stripped out R32 GTS from Top Secret and it made nearly 400PS at full boost, so at that weight, and with the Tein suspension it was faster then an equal powered GTR. What is discutable is when ever the GTR and it's Attesa+ twin Turbo Rb setup give it allways better abilities on a track, then a high power RWD only single Turbo GTS???? For the badge it's a personal thing, I don't mind some body putting a GTR badge on his GTS or Primera . . . it's more like an homage, then a statement. I wouldn't put one thought, as I can appreciate a GTS-badge as much as a GTR badge. In japan there are many emblems and badges avaible for GTS Skylines like: N/A RB Power, RB20DE power, RB25DET Power ex . . . somebody who has an N/A R34 GT-V with open throttle body isn't really interested in GTRs, as his N/A car is a complete other form of driving pleasure. So I not agree with the statement that the GTR is allways the logical car to own if you say Nissan Skyline. |
